Mihailo Pupin In 1874, Michael Idvosky Pupin
(1858-1935) immigrated
to the United States from
what is now Serbia
Mihajlo Pupin Idvorski was a scientist, inventor, a professor at the University
of Colombia, holder of the Yugoslav medals white eagle the first order and
honorary consul of Serbia in the United States.
Peter Press "Pete" Maravich

Peter Press "Pete" Maravich was a basketball player.
After graduating from LSU in 1970, Maravich was the third selection in the first
round of that year's NBA player draft and made league history when he signed a
$1.6 million contract — one of the highest salaries at the time.
King Peter II, First borni son of King Alexander I and Queen Mary, was born in
Belgrade 6 September 1923. Baptism was godfather to his English king George VI.
(Драгољуб Дража Михаиловић, also Čiča, Draža Mihailović or Mihajlović), was a
Serbian general who became a war hero in World War I and who later led the
Chetniks during World War II. US president Harry S. Truman posthumously awarded
him the "Legion of Merit" for the rescue of 500 American Airmen by Chetniks
during World War II.
